Penang --> Ipoh 2018
Visiting Penang again after about a year or two. 3 days 2 nights but didn't really did much cause of the shortage of time. Left KL quite late on Day 1, so by the time we reached there it was night already. So left with Day 2 to do some eating and visiting. Day 3 we left Penang early and head off to Ipoh and then back to KL. So it was more like 'A day in Penang' rather than 3 days 2 nights. LOL. Some weird time management and planning with my buddies 😅 Promised myself that I will make the trip more fruitful the next time I am back here in Penang again.
Stayed at Reunion Residence.
A nice and cozy place to stay in. Rooms are comfortable too. There is a mini mart downstairs (the entrance as you go in) for you to get your last minute forgotten stuffs and also snacks to much at night. Really convenient.
4 person stick up of cup noodles supper at night. LOL
❤️
Cause its Penang, Mom told me to buy back some "tau sar piah" back lol

Visited the Kek Lok Si Temple.
The Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia, facing the sea, and is one of the best known temples on the island. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia, and also an important pilgrimage centre for Buddhists from Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and other countries in Southeast Asia. The entire complex of temples was built over a period from 1890–1930, an inspirational initiative of Beow Lean, the Abbot. The main draw in the complex is the striking seven-storey Pagoda of Rama VI (Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas) with 10,000 alabaster and bronze statues of Buddha, and the 36.57 metres (120.0 ft) tall bronze statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy.
Mahayana Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals blend into a harmonious whole, both in the temple architecture and artwork as well as in the daily activities of worshippers.

Weather that day was extremely hot. Hot in KL, come to Penang also hot. LOL.
But no regrets cause the temples and the view here were beautiful.
Lunch at Black Kettle.
Lovely western cafe cuisine for lunch.
Head off to eat Chendul for tea time as the weather was so hot. So some iced would cool the body temperature down. But before the Chendul, wall art first !

It a Bird's Nest Cafe that serves Bird Nest Egg Tarts, Bird Nest Pineapple Tarts and Bird Nest Frozen Beancurd and etc.. I am so in love with this cafe. Each time I visit Penang now, definitely must make an effort to come here and eat. Really worth the try 👍🏻
Will roughly list down the price here so that when you go there you are at least prepared to pay the amount. But really worth the try despite the price as the food is not overrated and most of all they have bird nest. Bird nest are not cheap anyway.
Bird Nest Egg Tarts [RM 9.00 per piece]
Bird Nest Pineapple Tarts [RM 20.00 for 5 pieces]
Bird Nest Frozen Beancurd Jelly [RM 26.00]
Tea [Free & Free flow]
