Prefect Camp 2013 - SMKSS

On the 2627 28 April 2013
SMK Seri Saujana organised a Kem Pemimpin Pengawas 2013
at Pusat Latihan Idaman Nuraini Camp & Training Centre, Hulu Langat, Selangor.
We went there in 3 buses. About 120 students accompanied by 6 teachers.

Day 1 -
When we arrived there, the first thing we saw was the Waterfall.

We left school around 11.00am and reached there around 1.00pm.
We then went to unload our stuffs.

The program then started with registration, some ceramah, ice breaking and indoor games.
We were all diveded into 10 groups. Each groups had about 11-12 members.

At around 5.00pm, we were all allowed to go back to our dorms to have a shower.
But! There was no water. So no water = no shower.
The horror of the dorm lifestyle with shaky and squeaky double decker beds.

After settling and unpacking our stuffs, in the evening we had dinner and went back to the hall for some ceramah again.

After that, we went for Night Walk.
To tell you the truth, this was my first time I got the chance to enjoy the night scenery in the jungle. After walking a long distance, they then make us walk back one by one alone. It was not that scary as it was just a straight road all the way back. The facilitators even tried scaring us half way in-between the walk back but it din't really work. LOL.
After night walk, we went back to our dorms again. Luckily the water came back at that time. So we had a quick shower packed with people even though the water was not that clean.
The night ended at 2.00am.

Day 2 -
Day2 schedule was really packed.
We woke up at 4.00am as all the alarms started ringing and snoozing.
Got ready by 5.00am.
The muslim students went to pray and we non-muslims got some moral quiz to do.
After that, we had morning exercise to warm up our body and then only had breakfast.

After breakfast, we went for jungle trekking.
Climbing up and down the hill, going through all kinds of weird jungle plants that you can't find in the city, creepy insects everywhere, walking and crossing rivers and getting almost the whole body wet.

After jungle trekking, we had we had Rentas Halangan.
This is something like National Services, I guess. Manage to pull through and pass all those activities.
Crawling into mud, getting your whole body and face into mud, climbing up walls, crawling into and out of cement tunnel, rolling on grasses, going into stream water, swimming into and out of a cage barrel and last but not least into the waterfall to clean ourself.
It was horror but abit fun as there was friends and group members to be with every time. So its more like a team work that everyone goes through together. Atleast to keep the semangat there la.
After all those, I could imagine now how National Services would or might turn out to be.
Not easy man !

After all the exhausting activities, we were given a bit of time to go back to the dorms to clean up and have a quick shower. After that, did a bit of practice for the performances during The Camp Fire night.

Then, we had Explore Race. This explore race was a bit like Fear Factor.
Seating by the water eating bread that they told us its was sardine filling inside it. But I don't think it's sardine. It's like some other kind of fish fillings in it. The flowing water current was kindda strong so we had to be extra careful or we will be swept away by the strong current.

Next, putting live baby fishes into our mouth and run to the other end to spit them out into another pail. The baby fishes are alive swimming in your mouth.
Biting cricket with your lips. The cricket was alive too! Oh God !!

Follow on by eating Raw Eggs, Raw Onions and Raw Bitter Gourd ..

After that, using only your face and mouth to dig out the sweet from the flour.
This is not that bad compare to all those previous games.

Putting the biscuit on your forehead and bring it down to your mouth. This was 10000xx way better !

After explore race, we were given time to wash up again as everyone got dirty again.
After the wash up, time to prepare for the camp fire night.

-The Camp Fire Night-

We had ...
Dikir Barat, Singing Patriotik Song, Singing Encouragement Song, Singing Famous Song, Bora, Acting, Silence Comedy and many other performances from each and every group and also Performances by the Facilitators.

Bryan doing 귀요미 ! First time in history ! LOL.
Sorry yeaa Bryan but I just had to post this. 미안해!

We also had BBQ for that night. BBQ Chicken, French Fries, Sausages, Fried Mee and Rice.
FOOD !
Lights off at 1.30am.

Day 3 -
The last day of the camp.
Like day2, same routine until after breakfast.
After breakfast, we changed into our full Prefect Uniform for the Closing Ceremony of the Camp.

Then we had some Ceramah again together with prize ceremony.

SMK Seri Saujana Prefects + Pre Prefects 2013.

Through out the whole camp, I would say that the activities are really good experience for us even though some of it was horrible. Probably the taste of what PLKN life is about. It was fun as you had all your friends with you there. Luckily friends are there, if not I have totally no idea what will I turn out to be. It was okay after all, although it was thought and exhausting. To build greater and stronger prefects for the school. I guesssss ..
Thank God, everything went on smoothly. No one got badly hurt or injured. Except I came back with leeches bites here and there of my body and eczema on my both 2 feet ㅠㅠ I have like some kind of skin that just refuse accept and can't take the jungle life. Not a 'puteri lilin' okay ! LOL. I am very strong in enduring things de. If I am lembek, I probably won't survive all these. And being a senior can't be lembek or your juniors will also be more lembek and your whole team will collapse. LOL.

This is my last year in SMK Seri Saujana and it's also my last Prefect Camp that I will be attending.
I enjoyed myself much.
The Blue Family is another brunch of my family tree.
We have gone through a lot of smooth and rough times. But we face them all together !
